A Policy Brief is intended to inform a non-specialist, non-academic audience about a key issue:

the language should be clear and concise; and the evidence should be solid.

Policy Briefs are developed to inform governments, civil societies or other key stakeholders about an emerging issue, or to clarify an area of social concern that is unclear.

They can make suggestions about changes required to service provision or to legislation.
