Administrator Interview Assignment – (100 points): You are to interview a principal and a superintendent concerning legal issues.
Determine what they consider to be the most significant legal issues that they encounter and what kind of issues they delegate to higher authority (ex. principal to superintendent, superintendent to legal counsel.)
After collecting and synthesizing their responses, review applicable legal sources and/or research to determine more information on these significant legal issues and discuss two to three ways to better prepare yourself if you encounter these legal issues as a future principal.
In addition, analyze the local board/school policy to determine if the current policy addresses any of the legal issues reported from the interview.
If the policy addresses the legal issues, explain how.
If the policy does not address the legal issues, discuss how the policy could address these issues.
The submission should be in the form of a detailed narrative summary and your personal reflection of your findings. (Assignment should be 4 to 6 pages-once inch margins not including references, double spaced, 12 pt. font-Times New Roman).
