According to the American Psychological Association in 2013, “anxiety is the top presenting concern among college students (41.6 percent),” and over 80% of college students reported to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America that they had felt overwhelmed by their many responsibilities and commitments in the past year. C

ollege students typically face a multitude of stressors, which may impact both their academic and personal lives in varying ways and degrees. 

With this information in mind, how can/should institutions of higher education be more supportive of students’ mental health and better assist students facing their mental health challenges in achieving academic success?
