This will be an ongoing assignment that you will build upon throughout the semester. You will provide a 1 1/2 -2 page summary and critique for each of 5 current articles that support your personal HIT learning needs and interests. Consider how you can apply this new knowledge to your current practice as an RN and your future practice as an FNP. Each citation should have a brief evaluative critique. The purpose of the critique is to inform your peers of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources you cite.
Please make sure your critique is succinct and concise. Being critical of an article requires questioning the information and opinions of the information and to present your evaluation or judgment. Be sure to state the aim of the article and the main finding(s), along with the strengths and weaknesses of each article. The articles should be no older than 2 years, unless they are seminal articles. The articles should come from peer reviewed sources and can be interdisciplinary (outside of the nursing literature). None of the articles may be those that the instructor has posted as part of this course. Articles from personal discussion posts and/or written assignments may be utilized.
