For this assignment, you and a partner will design and deliver a learning experiment with 16 Sniffy rats. Do not use the provided example design, you must design an experiment yourself. Once this design is approved, you will then collect the learning and/or extinction data from the rats and summarize them in a lab report.
Review the Sniffy Lab material on Sniffy and Operant Conditioning for ideas and procedures in designing your own experiment. Read Chapters 5 and Chapter 7 in the Sniffy Lite Manual in Sniffy’s help menu. Chapter 5 is the basis of the lab we did together, training Sniffy to barpress. Chapter 7 is about training Sniffy to do other behaviours (e.g., beg, roll, face wipe as well as bar press).
