2. It will improve our nations security while we safeguard the civil liberties of our people.
3. Allows federal agents to follow sophisticated terrorists trained to evade detection by using roving wiretaps that apply to a particular suspect rather than to a particular phone or communications device.
4. Updating the law to reflect new technologies and new threats.
5. Some federal agents can abuse this authority and simply collect information or accuse anyone of terrorism based on guesses
6. Patriot Act weakened privacy rights by allowing government access without probable cause.
