Creating a fact pattern on self defense. Critical analysis of self defense.

 Create a fact pattern, which can be based on a real life experience, if you have any first-hand encounters with self-defense from your own personal experiences or if not you can develop one. What are the necessary facts that you believe are critical to the analysis of self-defense?  The role I    want you to employ is a first person account; the targeted audience will be the investigating officer who responds to the scenes; lastly the genre will be an assault………..  

I personally never had any self defense encounter, so choose any as descrbied above.
