As you have progressed in the semester, I have asked you to take a look at yourself through various reflective activities. Now I want you take a look at some leadership ideas that may resonate with you as presented by Scott Miller, Todd Davis and Victoria Roos Olsson. Everyone Deserves a Great Manager: The 6 critical practices for leading a team. I am very interested in your thoughts from Practice 1 Develop a Leaders Mindset as he discusses the concept your people are your results. What does this mean to you and how is this different than when you are not in a leadership position. When reviewing the Getting to Know Your Team activity at the end of practice one; Review the process outlined for Getting to Know Your Team and note the insights that most resonate with you and would help the team in our clinic. While reviewing Practice 2 the authors discussLeaders dont in fact create engagement. People choose their level of engagement. Leaders create the conditions for engagement. What does this mean to you and do you agree or disagree with this statement.
Develop your answer beyond just yes or no to agreement.
I am not looking for a book report here, but I am interested in your interpretation of the first 52 pages of the book.
