While the other physical systems are parallel among all persons, the reproductive systems are complex physical systems that are unique to the corresponding male and female sex. Each sex has its own unique diseases and complications, with the possible exception of diseases that are transmitted through sexual activity (otherwise known as sexually transmitted diseases or STDs). There are over twenty different STDs identified at this time. Using some additional research, please select an STD to briefly discuss, listing how it is transmitted, its signs and symptoms, treatments, likely outcomes, and any concerns an embalmer should have when embalming a body that has been afflicted with the disease.
