Learning Goal: I’m working on a science writing question and need the explanation and answer to help me learn.
Hi!
Part1:
Attached is a draft science poster that needs to be edited. Please make the following corrections:
– Cannot be an informative flyer, need to revise as if it was used for scientists in a conference
-Use in-text citations in APA STYLE 7
-Have columns that are noticeable.
– DO NOT USE CARTOON IMAGES, USE SCIENTIFIC IMAGES (DONT FORGET TO PUT A CAPTION AND A HYPERLINK
-Do not make everything a bullet point it makes it look like a flyer
-Change the template, use a scientific Poster Template
-Make sure you have a section that explains a breakthrough that was found within any of the articles.
-AGAIN CHANGE THE FACT THAT IT IS AN EDUCATIONAL FLYER, NEEDS TO BE MADE TO PROFESSIONALS WHO ARE SCIENTISTS IN A CONFERENCE.
The poster must include at least 5 figures (illustrations, graphs, tables, photographs, et cetera) that are of high quality and help describe your topic. A minimum of 6 library references that are already included
Part 2:
Write a script that is at least 5 minutes for a presentation that explains this poster to a conference filled with professional scientists.
Follow these ways:
At a conference, a member of the research team stands by the poster display while conference attendees can come and view the poster.
- If you succeed in capturing someones attention, you have a limited amount of time to convey an overall understanding of the project.
- If they are interested, they will spend additional time exploring the information and asking questions.
- A poster provides an opportunity for making valuable contacts and engaging in meaningful dialogue with colleagues.
- A poster can convey your message to a large audience. However, if your poster does not grab people’s attention, your efforts have been in vain.
