What are the root (long term) and immediate causes and the main consequences of the crisis?
Be sure to discuss the long-term and immediate impact on the crisis of Western intervention and imperialism, nation-state building, nationalism,
and the relationship between ethno-religious identity, access to power, and conflict. Don’t get bogged down in details!! Write as if you are trying to tell the essentials of this story to an educated, but uninitiated audience (similar to yourselves before you took this course) that has a limited amount of time to listen or read.
