Explain what reproductive asymmetry refers to in non-human primates.

Explain what Reproductive Asymmetry refers to in non-human primates. It is clear that among non-human primates Reproductive Asymmetry is a major factor in the nature of male versus female behaviour. Do you think it is as important among modern humans in industrialized societies? How about among hunter-gatherer societies? What is it about humans that might have changed this as a factor in our behaviour? Even if Reproductive Asymmetry is not a major factor among modern human societies, if it is still part of our ancient primate hardwiring do you think it might still affect our behaviour to some degree? If it is not a major factor in modern behaviour how do/did we overcome it?
