Module 8 Signature Assignment
The signature assignment for this course is a eight 5-8 page paper in APA format with cited research on a psychological assessment you select in week one. This is a working paper, which means you will build on a portion of it each week. During week eight (8), you will turn in your Signature Assignment.
For the signature assignment you will integrate course concepts by developing a paper in which you address the following:
Select a chronic illness or painful condition and a corresponding coping mechanism, alternative therapy or alternative approach to treatment.
Tell me why you selected this topic.
Describe the history of the treatment related to the condition or illness you have selected.
Discuss any applicable theory (or theories) related to your topic.
Explain why we should be interested in the topic you selected.
Speculate on the future direction of research with regard to the development of psychological based treatment or holistic alternative therapies respective to your topic. Specifically, what are the next steps for approaching treatment for this illness or condition from this perspective?
