What were the reasons for the rivalry between the U.S. and the Soviet Union at the end of World War II, how was the era of containment one of conflicts and hot wars, why did containment end, and how did the end of containment usher in the differing age of dtente?
2.Compare and contrast decolonization in India and China during the 20 century. Be sure to explain the means and contexts in which both nations emerged as independent, the role large global affairs played in the processes, and how these histories of decolonization are both similar and different in methods and results.
