The paper should discuss such items as: (1) A brief introduction of your chosen institution, (2) how student affairs is organized and the functions of each area. If student affairs are overlapped under several divisions, explain why and how it may or may not be effective. Include mission statements and organizational charts where appropriate; (3) how does student affairs support student academic success and retention, persistence and completion of students (give specific examples and statistics); (4) how does student affairs complement the vision and mission of the institution. This is a suggestive, not exhaustive, list of topics. The paper must be analytical as well as descriiptive. and must use class discussions, chapters from the textbook, or other peer-reviewed research to support your findings.
