How will they handle a new environment?

I have a research paper for my masters due on Friday, Nov. 11th. The paper is on Emotional Intelligence as an evaluation tool for selecting collegiate athletes and coaches. Scouts, recruiters, organizations, spend hundreds millions of dollars every year evaluating, recruiting, and signing thousands of coaches and players to bring into their organization. However, the success rate is not as high as people might think and the amount of money spent on mistakes is extremely costly. The missing piece could be the value of emotional intelligence. We measure, research, interview, and study everything about a prospective coach or player before we sign or recruit them, but we can’t measure their “it” factor. How will they handle pressure? How will they handle a new environment? Emotional Intelligence could be the missing piece.
