SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR JOURNAL ENTRY 2:
- You can speak in first person, as the mother, or second person, as the father or adoptive parent
- Things to consider discussing about pregnancy:
- As the mother or father, you can discuss how you met the other parent
- As the adoptive parent, you can discuss why you are choosing to adopt
- Reaction of baby to the mother’s/father’s/etc. voice(s)
- Reaction of baby to belly rubs
- Reaction of baby to certain foods
- Etc.
- With respect to childbirth:
- Discuss whether the birth was natural, induced, cesarean, etc.
- Be sure to include information about the infant’s APGAR score
