********h-( RESPOND )Based on my understanding a nutrient is in consumables, for example foods and supplements. Nutrition is the diets or habits a person creates in what a person consumes. For example, chicken will provide the same nutrients but grilling chicken is healthier than frying chicken. Most things we consume will contain some kind of nutrient but may not be enough to maintain a certain health or wellness level. The most important part of a persons eating habits is making sure that they are getting enough of the good stuff while limiting as much of the bad stuff as possible. I rarely hear people speak about nutrients or nutrition unless it is in training, on television, or on the radio. In training we talk a lot about healthy eating habits but normally when i see this or hear this on television or the radio it is promoting some miracle pill that will trim you down and make you focus harder. I believe they are properly using these words as they are defined, but are still rather misleading in the claims

********b-Respond) To me nutrient is used to describe a food or drink. If something is nutritious then it has the important vitamins and other things that our bodies need to be healthy. Everything has a nutritional value and some people need more of certain nutrients than others. Nutrition, to me, is the act of eating the proper nutritional foods. For example, if you are on a diet, whatever your diet consists of is your nutrition. Everyone has different nutritional needs. I do not think that the everyday use of these words is consistent with scientific definitions. People assume that since its organic it must be healthier. That may not be the case, however. The The same goes for other healthy branded foods. Also, like I said before, everyone has different nutritional needs. So, a diet that works well for some, may have the opposite effect for others. I feel we spend too much time reading articles and trying celebrity diets that arent back by anything, then get upset when we dont see results. If you want to eat healthy for your body type, its best to speak with your doctor/nutritionist.
