A competent teacher demonstrates proficiency in supporting student participation, managing classroom activities and maintaining student safety, as well as specific capabilities in professional knowledge & practice which relate to their curriculum area. This assignment provides you with the opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of how students learn as well as your knowledge of Food Technologies content and how to teach it. The portfolio will reflect your understanding of the requirements of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), specifically in the Design, Technologies and Engineering Learning Area. What you need to do for this Assessment Task: Students will write a unit of work from the LAP developed in assignment 1. The unit of work must clearly integrate the topical or ethical aspect of the food industry as stated in the LAP as well as be clearly linked to the subject and concepts of Design, Technology and Engineering (not Food and Hospitality), showing the students understanding of technologies and design principles. The unit must cover an entire assessment so either Skills t​‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍​ask A or B, design development or solution realisation. To accompany the unit plan a series of 8 relevant and engaging, current and/or innovative resources which relate to the Food Technology unit with critique must be included. A minimum of four resources needs to be developed by the student.
