Flies can be vectors in the spread of disease in cattle and cause economic problems. Until now, data regarding the diversity of flies that are a nuisance on farms is unknown. If it is known which types of flies are dominant in cows, it can also be known the risks that will be caused to cows due to the presence of nuisance flies, such as insects generally have a sensitivity (sensitivity) to color. However, not all colors can be recognized and liked by flies because they can only recognize colors with certain wavelengths

To determine the effectiveness of fly traps (fly grill) is placed in the area or place specified. However, in this study, a blue, yellow, red fly grille y and an unpainted fly grill were used, with the aim of determining which color flies were most afraid of or disliked so that fly control efforts could be made.

Based on the measurement results of the number of flies that landed and the results of statistical analysis, it can be seen that the flies want to land on all fly grill colors. In this case, the more flies that land, the more preferred the color of the fly. Meanwhile, if the fly perches a little, then the fly is less favorable to the color. From the results of statistical analysis using the ANOVA test, it can be seen that the ANOVA calculation results to distinguish the various colors of the fly grill against the number of flies that land, where the ANOVA calculation results are p = 0.986 and when compared to = 0.05, then p> which means that there is a color. significantly different fly grill against the number of flies perching.

Based on the average number of flies that land on the fly grill, the blue color has the smallest average. So it can be concluded that blue is the color most disliked by flies. This means that the hypothesis proposed in this study has been proven.
