Module learning Outcomes: 1. Analyse the role of the registered nursing within professional and legal requirements across a range of settings. (*Find literature to support why i have to do what The Code says- go into depth – talk about the role within the NMC requirements and other requirements e.g trust) 2. Critically reflect on your personal development in line with the requirements of The Code including the ability to manage risk whilst ensuring high quality of care and good health outcomes. (*my personal development across the 3 years, from year 1 till now, how did i develop) 3. Apply local and national frameworks, legislation, and regulations confidently and flexibly to a variety of contexts (UK)(*so why do we have The Code, how does it keep patients safe, what does it say etc.) Notes: The overarching theme is ‘TIME MANAGEMENT’ this is what i am discussing in this reflection as a weakness of mine Ive included my SWOT in the attachments intro: Why and How; – this is a personal reflection – a combination of 3 years of hard work, demonstrating the progression from a novice to a registered nurse – Evidence-based practice and NMC code should be used to discuss SWOT analysis – mention the 4P’s – why is it important in nursing – link them to what you are reflecting on. use one of the 4P’s heading and talk about why there are important for practice and safety – reflect and demonstrate you know what the 4P’s mean and how they impact your practice – use Driscoll’s model -Provide rationale for the choice of reflective model. Rationale needs to be based on the NMC code -SWOT Analysis body of essay what is the benefits of SWOT? – use reflective model to structure the commentary -SMART goals should be written out in sentences and not in a table – Please write in the third person
