For each level— municipal, county, state and federal— what are the actions in addition to voting that you will need to do to ensure a vibrant, participatory democracy? How do you intend to fulfill your responsibilities? If there’s one thing we’ve seen in the last several years, our democracy will not succeed on auto-pilot. There is important work to be done by elected officials themselves— which means we need good people to run for office— but also accountability—knowing that citizens are paying attention, expecting results, and making decisions about re-election based on performance in office.
