The term paper asks you to trace the history of a popular cultural product and how it has impacted society at large. What are the origins of the cultural product, how did it gain popularity, and how has it impacted society?
You will link their historical analysis to important communication theories discussed throughout the course.
You should submit:
Your final paper (6-8 pages, double-spaced) that covers the history of your popular cultural product, the impact that the product had on society, and link it back at least one topic that we have discussed in class (i.e., disposition theory, opinion leaders, uses and gratifications, flow of information, etc.).
Look through each of the weekly modules to find that topic that would be best suited for your product.
