1. Find at least five metaphors that Whitman uses throughout the poem and copy and paste them into a google doc. 2. Write at least 150 words analyzing who Walt Whitman is based on this poem. The point of the poem is for him to tell about himself, so what did you learn about him? How does he view the world? How does he view his place in the world? How does he think about himself and what he likes and dislikes? Make sure to use at least one piece of textual evidence– it is probably easiest to analyze one of the five metaphors that you already found for this assignment for this part.
